Summer at ASU

This summer, ASU welcomes all learners to ASU to take classes for credit or for personal enrichment. Get on track, accelerate your degree and have a productive summer. All classes are offered through ASU Online or through virtual classes taught live by ASU's world-class faculty.

Current ASU students can stay on track or get ahead on their path toward graduation this summer with summer sessions. Sessions A and C begin on Monday, May 18. Session B begins on Wednesday, July 1.

Admitted ASU students

Those students who are beginning their ASU journey as new first-year students in fall 2020 can get a head start on their degree as a Summer Scholar by taking 100- and 200- level courses and general education requirements.

First-year and transfer students New graduate students

Visiting university students

Visiting university students

Undergraduate students in good academic standing at any community college, four-year college or university are eligible to take ASU courses for credits that can be applied to their major at their home institution.

Visiting law students

A student in good standing at an American Bar Association accredited law school may be permitted to complete courses at ASU Law without being a candidate for the Juris Doctor degree at ASU Law.

Explore ASU’s Digital High School

High school students entering their junior and senior years can begin their college journey early by enrolling in a number of introductory ASU classes. Students in middle school and early high school are invited to enhance their education with ASU Prep Digital classes.

Summer youth programs

Open Course

Open Course

To help learners make progress toward their undergraduate degree this summer, ASU has reduced tuition for online open courses from $400 to $99 until August 17. These are general studies classes you can take for credit that can be applied towards a degree anywhere, so you can advance now.

If you’re not seeking a degree but are still interested in enriching your life through learning, consider ASU for You. ASU also hosts summer enrichment programs for students in kindergarten through grade 12.

ASU for You Summer youth programs

Summer classes are being offered during Summer Session B dedicated to the study of pandemic and the economic, public health, social and psychological impacts of COVID-19. Classes are available at the undergraduate and graduate level and can be taken as electives or toward degree requirements.
